After a quite long waiting period, Suzuki fans all over the world were curious to welcome the all new GSX-R 1000 in autumn 2016. For their new competitor in the supersports segment, the factory in Hamamatsu chose a completely new construction and built a bike in the long tradition of the successful GSX-R models, that offers some unique technical solutions. The engine carries a new valve train developed in MotoGP and uses titanium and aluminum for most components. As common among most sportbike providers, Suzuki not only offers a standard GSX-R version but also a sharpened R version with a more race prooven suspension. With it´s stunning 203 Kilo the new Gixxer is one of the leightweight superbikes on the market. According to this, the Ilmberger Carbon range of special parts for the new GSX-R contains high performing bits, such as the carbon replacement of the big plastic tank cover and the one piece bellypan that even includes the frame around the cooler. This means less components and leads to a better bike performance and even simplifies the mounting.
