An eventful race ended yesterday reasonably conciliatory for Stefan Bradl, although his Pramac Ducati rider Hector Barbera crooked rode the brake lever and so Stefan’s race almost ruined. Anyway, Stefan lost so much time and 4 places, because he may have to bend it and adjust the brake levers.
But one after anonther:
It was a difficult weekend because Bradl and his team had to solve many problems. Firstly, the Aprilia was hard to brake with the new chassis and the less the fuel was, he had the more effort when turning into corners. Stefan could not feel the front tire. In Turn 9 he was therefore always the danger to crash.
On the brake Bradl kept trying to make space good, but the rideability was really tedious. He lay in the cool down lap without gasoline. Fortunately, they did not go another sighting lap, otherwise it would become scarce in the race.
Thus, there were valuable six points for another tenth. This Stefan is on a great 12th place of the championship standings and even on points with Ducati factory rider Andrea Dovizioso.
Thanks Barbera came this time teammate Bautista before Bradl than 9. into finish but still in the championship table behind him.
The next GP will be held in Italy, on the beautiful track of Mugello in the Tuscan hills.
Season Start BMW Stilgenbauer – Dominik Vincon
Last week we went back to our team BMW Stilgenbauer. The season opener was imminent. The official opening IDM training and the first race of the season took place from 25.04. - 01.05.2016 instead.
At the start it was of course again with a BMW S1000RR from Heppenheim from Carhouse Stilgenbauer. For this purpose, the year was Bike brought back on track, but the team changed the suspension manufacturer Öhlins on WP. The team led by Dominik Vincon is looked after here by Kraus Racing from near by Östringen. Lothar Kraus even impressed a racing career, and a lot of experience in chassis technology. In both the IDM and in the Superbike World Championship, he oversaw in the past years, drivers and teams.
After a long trip of 600km to the Lausitzring Dominik had this year invest a little more hand and help out, because the official IDM prelude training his team was occupied rather weak with mechanic and father Frank Vincon and suspension technician Lothar Kraus. Gain was only noticed at the weekend. “There were three hard days,” says Dominik. Although in adverse conditions and
light snowfall and temperatures seemed to go almost impossible just above freezing, Dominik was after all, two of three days of testing on the track to turn out new information and data about
to collect the new Öhlins suspension. Since Brother Patrick Vincon now completed his internship at the University BMW HP Race Support and at that time had an insert in British Superbike, this was missing for electronic tuning of the motorcycle. Here, the team had immediate problems, which also led to a slip at the end of the third day of training. “I had to skew more dropouts, which caused an excessive load change of the motorcycle forward, while keeping my front wheel is then slipped,” the Knittlinger describes his fall. Fortunately, the 24-year Schwabe was uninjured, even the motorcycle came off lightly at the departure at about 150 km / h it. The “free” Thursday from start training and racing weekend was of course used extensively around the obtained data to analyze and evaluate. This directly some trifles of chassis setups and traction control could now be optimized. Furthermore, the day was used to the bike to check and perform a complete service.
Friday we went directly going to the first official practice session of the Superbike IDM in 2016. In the current season are 24 firmly registered drivers in the class Superstock 1000 at the start, the IDM Superstock goes together with the powerful IDM Superbikes at the start. In the three free practice sessions on the first day were almost 20 degrees be optimally tested and trained with the best sunny spring weather and. Here, the team BMW Stilgenbauer could retract to Dominik to ninth place with 1,1sec residue. The next day we went into the first qualifying of the season in 2016, this is a race tire over the distance was again tested. For only the second qualifying a softer tire compound was unpacked to the last tenths of a second squeeze, and to go on time hunting. In the second qualifying of young Schwabe was thus a considerable time of 1: 41,4 rode. This took Dominik the tenth starting position in the Superstock class. In the overall standings he finished the 15th starting position and thus had to start next Sunday in the exact center of the entire driver field.
The first race of the season was not quite as great as desired, it has made a change to the fork after the warm up again. With a conscious residual risk Dominik went to the start. This worked confidently, but turned out pretty quickly that the cornering including something was affected. Only after a few rounds of Knittlinger got used to the change. Thus, the lap times were also end of the race faster. Nevertheless, the train to the top was far left. Shortly before the end Dominik was again on fellow Pepijn Bijsterbosch (NED) catch. However, overtaking could not try. Thus, the team BMW Stilgenbauer concluded the first race from a ninth place. In the second race, the modification to the fork was undone again, thus it was hoped at the very beginning to be competitive. However, Dominik was the first 5 rounds in wrangling some drivers stuck and has a drive in the 16 rounds again only towards the end of the race for his times. “I think we have a few more kilometers uncoil to collect on the new chassis more information and data”, Dominik optimistic about after the race. The second race ended for Dominic then position 8. Thus, Team BMW Stilgenbauer took 15 points and an eighth place in the championship home. It continues with the second race weekend of the Superbike IDM directly next weekend of 6-8. On May Nürburgring
Philipp Öttl convinced in Jerez
After three oversea races the European season for motorcycle world championship was start in Jerez de la Frontera / Spain traditionally. Philipp Öttl from Schedl GP Racing team collected in the first three races 21 points and was on the excellent seventh place overall. The track in Andalusia know the World Cup participants very well, because there were held most test runs in winter. After the three free practice sessions took the 19-year-old strong sixth place. In qualifying he managed not perfect lap, but the 13th place was not a bad starting position for the race. Philipp started well into the race and ended the first lap in eighth place. Between the fourth and seventh round, the KTM rider improved in every round for a place. Lying on fifth he led a group of five riders. The first four had been sold something. Particularly in the braking zones of the only German-language Moto3 rider was strong. Again and again he fought back lost positions. On the penultimate lap he attacked the two group leaders at the end of the longest straight on. In an extremely late braking maneuver he unfortunately came on the line and three followers were wiping the inside through. In the last round he could no longer do well and Philip had to settle for tenth place this error. Ranked five came within half a second. In the WM TripAdvisor Ainringer now stands with 27 points in tenth place. However, it is just four points from Sixth.
Philipp Öttl:
“I am pleased with my performance in the race satisfied only with the result not. I’ve beaten myself well against co-favorites like Romano Fenati and Enea Bastianini am pleased. In the final sprint three places to lose less. The initial phase when I could fight his way me from 13th on the grid to fourth place, gives me confidence and proves that I have learned a lot. “
