The first motorcycles were built by the Mattighofen-based company, KTM, back in 1953. In the 1990s, the Austrian manufacturer took the next level and went public. While the company has become indispensable in the off-road segment since then, it is also increasingly represented on the road. The spearhead of this development is the successful participation in MotoGP, Moto 2 and Moto 3. KTM is particularly well represented in Moto 3, as almost half of the field of riders in this class start with the bike from Austria.
Husquarna was taken over in 2013 and since 2019 the Spanish trials and enduro manufacturer GasGas has also been part of the company portfolio. But not only on 2 but also on 4 wheels you are represented. The X-Bow is now indispensable and at the same time it was the first car with an all-carbon monocoque for the driver and passenger.
