GRAN PREMIO bwin DE ESPAÑA-Circuito de Jerez FP3/4 & Qualifying

This morning have the team and Stefan a lot of work  to do from yesterday crash. As mentioned yesterday the setup work continued today with more over running and a harder spring back. Stefan could improve on his time from yesterday only to 2/10, but he thinks that consistency would be good with the hard tyres. He had done many high 1.40 laps.
4. free practice, they want to try even a different steering head angle, because they had worst grip at the apex. The Yamaha would swing up and he could then not so hard exaleration how he was used.
Of course absent since the loss of traction due to a faulty speed sensor on the rear a little confidence in the technology. But Stefan is professional enough that to get back to the series.
Stefan went out in the morning with a new soft rear tire the last stint, however, which brought more chatter than an improvement in time. The lost training time yesterday by the crash has always still negative.
At the end of FP3, Stefan start from the 18th place.

At the 4. free practice was filed with a full tank in the race setting, Stefan reached place 14th with a 1.40. 8 round. He  could be high 1.40 times in race. Despite the changes to the Setup have not proven.
It is interesting to see that just one second between P8 (Rossi) to P22, its again very closely together. There are different just tenths and above all the smallest details that allow a better lap time.
The Q1 was not as good as hoped, Stefan was only P9, which means tomorrow only 19th place for the grid. The reason for this was a poor fuelpump who pumps not enough fuel. This is the reason for  bike has less power. Stefan said he usually must adjust with the throttle to have not much wheelies. He had to not make it in Q1, too little performance costs time enormously.
We hope for a good setting and a bit of luck for the race.
Jorge Lorenzo get the pole position with a new lap record of 1.37.8!
We wish you a lot of fun for race!

GRAN PREMIO bwin DE ESPAÑA-Circuito de Jerez FP2

Unfortunately the second free practice session started everything else as optimal, because Stefan rushed immediately to start the 45 ongoing session in the out lap with the used rear tire of the morning. Nothing happened Stefan fortunately, he brought promptly in his motor home is to put on a new leathers. Stefan crashed into turn 12, the rear tires felt, so Stefan, as he would not have been heated up. But that was not the cause, but the sensor for the traction control was broken. Therefore, the TC has not worked. Usually there is a warning light on the dashboard, but Stefan saw nothing.
He had a slide and thought to be able to catch him this was not possible however.
Stefan went after about 15 min with the #2 bike again on the piste hard with a new rear tire on time hunting to machine, but the #2 had not all setup changes the #1 motorcycle. In the TV was clearly seeing the Yamaha when braking was as unstable and that she are strongly pumped when accelerating on the rear. It was no stability on brake and the back it was too soft. With more over running at the front, they wanted to achieve more stability on the brake but the crash all nullified. At the #2, a lot had been changed, for example, a longer swingarm and a small change to the fork.
But also it was not much, once again the traction control was too aggressive. It was added that the grip of the track in the afternoon was much worse than at morning. All the drivers had problems to improve the time from FP1.
The configuration said such problems had not had the test in November, because it was cold. Today, it had 28° air temperature and 43 ° asphalt. But the conditions are the same for all.
Thus, Stefan could turn unfortunately only 9 complete rounds, making voting work not easier. Of course, Stefan fell also places this and is now available in the timesheet on 20th place with 1.5 seconds behind the fastest again Jorge Lorenzo.
You should also mention Stefan got a thick cold, a gift of the air conditioning of the flight back from Argentina to Germany.
