After today’s warm-up Stefan felt still limp and powerless due to its cold. Stefan take few infusions to get forces to the clinica mobile. The race distance with 27 laps in 26° air temperature its heavyl. A physically, technically on the other hand, because Stefan fought in the slipstream of its competitors with brake problems. In the practice no overheated brake was not an issue, therefore, they put to the mid carbon fibre discs. In the race, the discs with a diameter of 340 mm was the better option than the 320th.
The next problem was the question of tyre, for Stefan it would have been impossible to ride the softer tyres so how could its competitors. Team-mate Loris Baz confirmed this. Apparently the soft tyres on the open M1 overheat more easily than other motorcycles. 130° were measured at Stefan, what is too much. Therefore, there was no other alternative than the hard compound.
And due to the high temperature of the tyre, the downside is obvious: the rear tires spinning too much, Stefan drivees not so as it should be.
Tomorrow is a test in Jerez, let us hope that this test brings a few valuable results!
