On May 31st the third Superbike IDM race took place at Lausitzring with Dominik Vincon of team Stilgenbauer placing fourth. Already on Friday the first qualifying began. In the pit lane Dominik decided to continue the race despite of changing the tires due to light rain and placed third in the meantime. As the rain ended all other drivers changed their tires into qualifyer tires and Dominik fell back on sixth place. On Saturday morning the chances for a better position in the second qualifying decreased because of heavy rain.
Starting from place 15 the young swabian moved up to fourth position in the first race. Unfortunately he failed passing Chris Burri (CHE) placing third and Dominik had to drive through the gravel bed. At the end of the first race he crossed the finish line eighth.
In the second race Dominik showed up with a tremendous start and catched up to second position passing Max Fritsch (GER). But in the commencing race he was beaten by Roman Stamm (CHE) and Lucy Glöckner (GER) and placed fourth at the end.
In total Dominik Vincon of team BMW Stilgenbauer ranked up to place four in the Superbike IDM championship. The next Superbike IDM takes place at Nürburgring from June 12-14, 2015.
