Fourth free practice brought valuable insights, Bradl could further increase and the team found some better solutions for the Setup.

That will hopefully good tomorrow for race.

The qualifying did not go off as planned, Stefan started solidly in the session, unfortunately he crashed in the second stint at turn 11 on the front wheel. In the penultimate lap he got beyond a curve before the barrier, this lap has been removed him. In the following lap, he tried to iron out this mistake and went “all in“, he risked everything. After the fronttyre was no longer in best conditions, Stefan lost at the inside brake in the corner his front.
So Stefan have to start tomorrow from position 19. but he has beaten his team-mate Bautista in the fourth qualifying on the Aprilia.

At least Stefan do an good job, therefore remains extremely difficult for the GP RS at Misano with the many changes of direction. Not to forget that the actually Aprilia runs with a engine which base comes from the Superbike and the Bike still weighs around 10 kg to much,

Also in the third free practice session it ran not so round for Stefan, the adaptation to the new cahssis is not so easy.

Especially since the time intervals are very low. Bradl finished at 21 this morning, if he was 3/10 seconds faster, that probably would have been enough to place 15. Once again shows the enormous tight performance of this year’s premier class!

The gap to the fastest Jorge Lorenzo, who beat todays morning the previous lap record by 7/10, Bradl hold the gap constant on 2.1 – 2.3 seconds.

Bradl has put aside the old frame and build his second GP-RS with the new frame.

With the back to back tests with the new to old frame he lost much valuable Tracktime to gain a reasonable race Setup as usual.

He was pretty busy meant Stefan get everything for the race. It is a lot of work to all experiments with steering head angle, offset and swingarm length to work through.

In addition still the choice of the ideal racetyre.

In the fourth free practice are again 40 minutes available to work on the race Setup. Then comes the first qualifying session, which will be crucial for Bradl.

Perhaps Stefan and his team found a few tenths to go to in the race not from so far back.

We are still excited how it runs in the afternoon and as always cross the fingers.

Now second free practice went well, Stefan do it better and improved by a full second in comparison to the FP1.

Of course he missed few laps, which due to the many problems in the morning.

Bautista has much more experience with the new chassis, Bradl have to do still working.

Stefan has increased not only itself, but by half a second reduced also the gap to the fastest. He lost in the morning 2.6 seconds on the pole sitter and now just 2.1 seconds. Lorenzo leads in front of Marquez. On his team-mate Bautista Stefan lost 3/10 who finished in training on place 18.

In the second free practice session, Stefan could directly compare now the old and new. He said the difference would now not so much, but noticeable. He would do more for easy riding into the corner and feel a light advantage. He thinks if he gets better in the corner, then it could also better exit but at the moment the motorbike is still too nervous and produced too many wheelies.

Here is missing a little fine tuning with the electronics and this should help overall to more tyre performance in race.

So it goes in the right direction and for morning Bradl hopes to continue to improve as it is today.
