The new BMW allround sportsbike combines the dynamics of a supersport-bike with the comfort and endurance of a touring bike. The 1000cc inline-four, developed for the supersporty S 1000 RR, does a brilliant job in the chassis of the new XR. Less topend power in favor of a clearly stronger midrange make the XR-engine one of the most rideable plants on the market. BMW offers a rather long list of available extra goodies, such as the famous semi-active supension, cornering ABS, cruise control, dynamic ESA, and many more. Therefore, the range of available Ilmberger High Performance Carbonparts is extraordinary large among the XR. Many parts are specially refinded, such as the carbon handguards, which are not only much lighter than their original - they offer, due to their different shape while keeping their low profile, a much better protection for rider and bike.  The front- and rear mudguard are designed longer than their original counterparts and help reducing damages and dirt on the bike. Also a good example is the upper chainguard, which has been integrated by our engineers to the rear hugger to reduce components.
