Like a thunderbolt the new Panigale V4 showed up at the EICMA in Autumn 2017 and hit the audience like a hammer. With this stunning Superbike, Ducati is heralding a new era in their engine building. Since the launch of the Panigales V2 "Final Edition" the end of the supersporty V2 was conceivable.
Everybody who doubted, Ducati could get even more spectacular was disabused by the stunning looks and impressive technical data sheet of the all new Panigale V4. With its unbelievable 214 Hp at a weight of 198 Kilo Ducatis new weapon in the supersport range outshines every other sportbike on the market. The V4s data sheet is reading like a born-and-bred factory World-Superbike. The bike is offered to the public in three different versions: the Panigale V4, V4 S with forged wheels, full Öhlins suspension and sharpened electronics and, last not least, a Panigale V4 Speciale, with particular Ducati Performance carbon parts from the factory.
From the 2019 World-Superbike season on, Ducati will, compliant to the technical rules, attack with an "R" version of the Panigale V4, which is yet to come. It will be interesting, how Ducatis new silver bullet will compare with the other factories.
